Conditions of Sale
These conditions shall apply to all orders for the sale of goods by Manchester & Lancashire FHS via the MLFHS Online Store.
All orders shall be deemed to be an offer by the customer to purchase the goods pursuant to these conditions.
The price and delivery charges shall be those prevailing at the date of receipt of the order.
Payments for goods ordered from MLFHS Online shall be made using credit or debit cards or via the PayPal service.
Customers wishing to order for payment "Cash on Delivery" must place their orders directly with Manchester and Lancashire FHS after obtaining agreement to this method of payment. Customers may also submit orders by post for payment by cheque. Orders should be sent to Mail Order Department, Manchester & Lancashire FHS, 3rd Floor, Manchester Central Library, St. Peter's Square, Manchester, M2 5PD, England.
In the event of unavailability of any item ordered from the Society, we will contact the customer, indicate the probable delay, and agree whether the item is to be supplied later or deleted from the order with an appropriate refund.
The laws of England & Wales shall apply to all contracts.
Shipping and Returns
Goods will be mailed to the delivery address provided by the customer.
Cost of delivery shall be paid by the customer according to the total weight in grams of the items ordered as described in the product listings and calculated according to a table of charges appropriate to the delivery address.
Goods will be dispatched within 5 working days of receipt of order and may be expected to be delivered within a further 5 working days in the UK and 10 working days in other countries.
The customer has the right to cancel an order for goods within 7 working days of receipt (i.e. excluding Saturdays, Sundays and UK Bank Holidays). Notification of intention to cancel shall be sent to the Society at the address above in writing (including facsimile or electronic mail) to arrive within this 7 day period. On receipt of notification of cancellation within the specified period the Society undertakes to refund the sale price of the goods and associated delivery charges but only if they are returned to the Society in a saleable condition. Goods are to be cared for at the customer’s risk.
Refunds will be made by Sterling cheque or credit to the customer’s credit card according to the original method of payment within 30 days of receipt of the returned goods in saleable condition. The cost of returning the goods shall be the responsibility of the customer.
No refunds will be made in respect of CD-ROMs if the customer has broken open the seal or wrapper unless the CDROM is being returned as defective.
No refunds will be made in respect of downloaded products other than in the event that the product is defective. Defective products will be replaced at no charge or in the event that this is not possible, a full refund will be made.
Purchasers of downloaded products are deemed to have forfeited their right to a refund for any other reason.
We realise that privacy of your personal details is of the utmost importance.
It is our strict policy never to divulge any personal information to third parties other than with the express permission of our customers. This does not, however, extend to legitimate requests from United Kingdom statutory civil authorities.
We will not pass on your contact details to any other organisation for any purpose. You may rest assured that shopping with the MLFHS Online Shop will not result in your receiving unsolicited mailings from other organisations.
We will not send out any mailings to you other than those to which you specifically opt-in or messages specifically related to your transactions with the MLFHS Online Shop.
We do not receive any information related to your credit or debit card.
