This download, which is in PDF format, contains a scanned copy of the original baptism registers complete with a transcript of the 1,482 baptisms performed and an index to the 5,934 names of children, parents and godparents which appear in the register.

St. Joseph, Longsight

St. Joseph's is the parish church of the district of Longsight, in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Salford. A mission was established in 1888 in the chapel of the St. Joseph's RC Industrial schools. The present church opened in May 1915 but was remodeled in 1969.

The first two volumes of the baptism registers for St. Joseph's cover the period from the establishment of the mission in 1888 up to 1910.
